CFR’s vision is “We seek a world where retail workers are respected and valued as an essential contributor to society while earning a living wage that can sustain a family, and receiving adequate benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid sick leave, and paid vacation time.” To see this vision come to being, CFR provides three programs:
- Providing essential services such as healthcare, applying for unemployment benefits, monthly gatherings, workforce development, classes, and education
- Developing partnerships in the community to help engage retail workers and their supporters to make lasting change
- Conducting community-based research to promote ongoing data and evaluation of the retail sector
