Our Work

CFR’s vision is “We seek a world where retail workers are respected and valued as an essential contributor to society while earning a living wage that can sustain a family, and receiving adequate benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid sick leave, and paid vacation time.” To see this vision come to being, CFR provides three programs:

  1. Providing essential services such as healthcare, applying for unemployment benefits, monthly gatherings, workforce development, classes, and education
  2. Developing partnerships in the community to help engage retail workers and their supporters to make lasting change
  3. Conducting community-based research to promote ongoing data and evaluation of the retail sector
