Next Level Retail: Hiring Event

SIGN UP HERE! The Center for Frontline Retail is holding a free workshop and hiring event. Attendees will participate in retail skill-building activities, then take part in a pre-screening interview with Workforce1 for various postions at Whole Foods.

Check-In: 10:30–11:30 AM | Expect to be at the event for 3 hours
No admittance before or after check-in time. Limited to 50 participants.

Please come to our office professionally dressed, and bring NYS ID or other ID, three copies of your resume, and a pen. Participants must know the last 4 digits of their social security number. Review the events calendar before arriving to ensure that you have the latest information about the event. 

Whole Foods Positions:

► Prepared Foods: Production, counter and runners (pizza, charcuterie, hot food, salad bar, sandwiches), utility workers/dishwashers
► Bakery: Production (bread mixers, pastry production, cake decorators) and counter
► Customer Service: Cash registers, customer/cashier assistants (carts, bag groceries, general help) and customer service booth; facility/store maintenance and janitorial staff
► Grocery
► Whole Body
► Meat: Butchers, wrappers and counter help
► Produce/Floral: Production (cut fruit) and retail
► Seafood
► Specialty


  • Meet and greet customers with a smile; respond to customer needs and concerns
  • Provide exceptional, personalized service

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Sunday including nights, weekends, and holidays. There are no set schedules or guarantees of schedules
  • Be able to work/be placed in surrounding stores
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hour shifts)
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat
  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
  • Able to respond to all customer needs and communicate in a friendly way
  • Very energetic and a positive attitude; accessible and approachable
  • A desire to satisfy customers' needs
  • A passion for people, food, and the business
  • Desire to learn and teach and gain good product knowledge
  • Passionate about Whole Foods Market core values
  • Able to perform physical requirements of job as outlined in working conditions
  • Ability to work box bailer or other heavy machinery
