The Center for Frontline Retail is holding a free job search workshop and hiring event to train retail job seekers in resume writing and interviewing, and connect job seekers with positions at Paradies Lagardere at JFK, Global Contact Services, Urban Pathways, and Urban Resource Institute (URINYC).

► Paradies Lagardere (JFK): Sale Associates | The starting pay rate is $13.00, full- and part-time. Advancement opportunities.

► Paradies Lagardere (JFK): Cashier | The starting pay rate is $13.00, full- and part-time. Advancement opportunities.

► Paradies Lagardere (JFK): Warehouse Associates | The starting pay rate is $13.00, full- and part-time. Advancement opportunities.

► Paradies Lagardere (JFK): Brand associates | The starting pay rate is $13.00, full- and part-time. Advancement opportunities, plus commission in select brand stores.

► Global Contact Services (Queens): Call Center Agents | Must be able to type minimum of 30 words per minute. Must have flexible availability to include weekends and nights. (Must have HSD/GED. $13.00/hour (Screening Interview)

► Urban Pathways (All Boroughs): Security | Requires valid NYS License, CPR and First Aid Certification, valid Fire Guard License. $13.00/hour

► Urban Pathways (All Boroughs): Cooks | Requires high school Diploma or GED, unexpired Food Handler License. Requires two years of experience.

► Urban Pathways (All Boroughs): Maintenance | Requires valid Driver License, and training in building maintenance and construction with the ability to diagnose, perform carpentry and painting. Flexible schedule.

► Urban Pathways (All Boroughs): Shift Supervisor | Requires valid Security License, valid Fire Safety & Alarm Certification (F80), CPR, and supervisory experience.

► Urban Pathways (All Boroughs): Case Manager | Requires BA Degree in social work or related field, minimum one year of clinical. Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus. Flexible schedule.

► Jet Ways Security & Investigation (Queens) Cargo Warehouse | Immediate openings for support staff at JFK Airport and vicinity, both FULL TIME and PART TIME positions are available. The starting pay rate is between $13.00 to $15.00 per hour. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Intake Employment Specialist: This role will conduct community outreach to ensure steady referrals; assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports/statistics including the collection and compilation of information pertinent to same; review individuals’ records for timeliness and completion of all required documentation as per regulatory and contractual requirements; and maintain a caseload. An Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in counseling, psychology, social work, or in a related human service field with adequate emphasis on counseling. Minimum one (1) year of experience in human services as a counselor/supervisor. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Training and Education Specialist: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Education, or Human Resources. 4 years of Learning and Development Training experience in a social service environment, non-profit organization preferred. 3+ years delivering training and authoring content to various audiences. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills in communicating orally, and write clearly and concisely when communicating all information. Must be very organized and be able to effectively prioritize tasks to ensure their timely completion. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and training tools. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Maintenance Worker: Duties include maintaining cleanliness of facility, both internal and external, including bathrooms and common areas, and performing minor repairs. Three years of experience as a maintenance worker. Must be skilled and knowledgeable in all or some of the following areas basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license required. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Maintenance Supervisor: Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and supervision of maintenance staff including preparing work schedules and providing guidance and direction; meet with management regarding maintenance issues and issues regarding facility structural repair; Ensure that maintenance/facility concerns are identified and appropriately and effectively resolved to maintain compliance with regulatory mandates. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. High School diploma or Equivalency is required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, a minimum of five years of work experience as a maintenance worker, and at least two years’ of work experience in a supervisory role. Must be skilled and knowledgeable of all phases of maintenance work including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills. Valid driver’s license required. ► URINYC (All Boroughs) Residential Specialist: Bachelor Degree with internships in Human Services; Associate Degree with two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in Human Services; or High School Diploma or GED with four (4) to five (5) years’ experience. Must demonstrate sensitivity to issues related to women and domestic violence victims experiencing trauma, poverty, and/or homelessness. Valid NYS driver’s license strongly preferred. Must be computer-literate, have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and have ability to work a flexible schedule. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Security Supervisor: Responsible for the supervision and training of security monitors in the maintenance of security logs, mail system, intake of deliveries, security procedures and fire safety process as well as scheduling and assigning them to designated posts. This individual also tours the facility to ensure the protection of personnel and residents of the facility. Direct staff, visitors, and clients to requested designation. Maintain security log with all movements of personnel and/or visitors in and out of the premises and any unusual occurrences. Conduct monthly fire drills and inspect alarm system daily to ensure protection of premises. Three years’ experience as a security officer and a valid NYS Security License required. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal skills are required. Participate in and conduct monthly staff meetings and training seminars conducted to enhance and develop one’s skills. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. Bachelor’s Degree. ► URINYC (All Boroughs) Security Monitor: Provide security services to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff. Duties include overall surveillance through performing facility rounds, maintain visitor log, conduct fire drills, and ensuring that rules and regulations are followed. Some positions require performing intakes and managing admissions paperwork. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. High School diploma or GED and previous security experience. Must have valid NYS security license. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver’s license required. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Shift Supervisor: Supervise Residential Specialists/Associate Counselors for the Domestic Violence Division, Direct Support Professional for the OPWDD Division and anyone working on the shift as well as the house in the Homeless Division. Coordinate activities on assigned shift. Prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate facility coverage. Perform the duties of a Residential Specialist/Associate Counselor, Direct Support Professional or Security when necessary. Provide crisis counseling when needed. Function independently in times of facility coverage including assuming responsibility in crisis situations. Prepare casework documentation and written reports. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. A Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work or related field, or High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) with ten years of experience working in a domestic violence or Homeless residential setting, or OPWDD environment. Must demonstrate sensitivity to issues related to women and domestic violence experiencing trauma, poverty, homelessness or developmental disability. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Bi-lingual preferred. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)

► URINYC (All Boroughs) Housing Specialist: Responsible for addressing the housing needs of clients residing in domestic violence or homeless shelters. The Housing Specialist assists clients as they transition from shelter to permanent housing. The Ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying permanent housing options, developing and maintaining a database of housing resources, conducting individual sessions and support groups around housing issues, and providing referrals, advocacy, follow-up, and assistance with housing applications. Assess clients’ housing needs and develop an individualized plan to secure safe, affordable housing. Salary based on experience, $25,000–40,000. (Screening Interview)
