SIGN UP HERE! The Center for Frontline Retail is holding a free job search workshop and hiring event to train retail job seekers in resume writing and interviewing, and connect job seekers with sales, management, beauty, servers, and other positions at Dollar Tree, DFS at JFK, Sodexo, and more!

Cornell Tech and Eckerd College are also hiring for a variety of positions in operations, administration, and education.

Check-In: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
No check-ins past 12:00 PM. First 60 arrivals will attend the event. Latecomers will be referred to our next event. No admittance before check-in time.

Please come professionally dressed with 3 copies of your resume, a pen, and photo ID. Participants must be age 18+.

 ► Dollar Tree (Queens, Bronx): Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers | Store managers must have at least 2 years of store manager experience in a high-volume retail environment. Assistant store managers must have at least 1 year assistant store management experience in a high-volume retail environment. (Screening Interview) 

 ► DFS (JFK): Beauty Advisors, Fragrance Advisors, Sales Associates, Counter Managers, Product Support Specialists | Must have HSD/GED. Must have minimum of 1 year related experience for all positions. Counter Managers must have minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail environment. Product Support Specialists must have minimum of 1 year of replenishment or stock experience in retail environment. (Screening Interview) 

► Sodexo (Manhattan): Retail Supervisors | Must have minimum of 1 year retail management experience in high-volume retail environment. Must have open and flexible availability including nights and weekends. (Screening Interview) 

► Sodexo (Manhattan): Cooks, Greeters | Cooks must have minimum of 1 year of cook experience in full-service restaurant or higher education institution environment. Greeters have minimum of 1 year server experience in a full service restaurant or higher education institution. Must have open and flexible availability including nights and weekends. (Screening Interview) 

► Sodexo (JFK): Servers | Servers must have minimum of 1 year of server experience in full-service restaurant. Must have open and flexible availability including nights and weekends. (Screening Interview)

► Sodexo (Manhattan): Utility Attendants | Utility Attendants must have minimum 1 year maintenance or janitorial experience in a hospital or higher education institution. Must have open and flexible availability including nights and weekends. (Screening Interview)

► Global Contact Services (Queens): Call Center Agents | Must be able to type minimum of 30 words per minute. Must have flexible availability to include weekends and nights. Must have HSD/GED. (Screening Interview) 

► GSI (JFK): Ramp Agents, Bag Room Agents | Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have open availability and flexibility. (Screening Interview)

Eckerd College (Bronx, Queens): Workforce Development Specialists | Must have minimum of 3 years related work experience with at-risk youths or adults. Workforce Development Specialists must have minimum of 2 years of case management and job development experience. Must have related bachelor’s degree in social services, counseling or business.  Must have open and flexible availability. (Screening Interview)

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Administrative Assistants | Must have associate degree. Must have minimum 4 years experience with office work and administrative experience in education environment. Must have experience in coordinating projects and proficiency in excel, word and outlook. (Screening Interview) 

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Capital Accountants | Must have associate degree in accounting, finance or business with finance focus. Must have minimum 2 years experience in financial planning or management and budget development and analysis and reporting. Must have experience in capital projects financial management and analysis. (Screening Interview) 

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Grants Managers | Must have minimum 3 years of experience in administration, finance, grants management in non-profit organization or research-intensive higher education institution. Must have bachelor’s degree in business or related field. (Screening Interview) 

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Student Services Managers | Must have minimum 2 years of experience working with students in a higher education institution. Must have experience managing academic, administrative priorities and analyzing data. Must have bachelor’s degree. (Screening Interview)

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Director of WiTNY Strategic Planning and Operations | Must have bachelor’s degree in technology. Must have minimum 4 years of experience working in technology industry. Must have experience working in leadership role in academic or corporate setting supporting program development and execution in the areas of education, training, talent development, mentorship programs or student services. ► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Initiative Coordinators | Must have bachelor’s degree. Must have minimum 3 years experience working in administration, finance, grant management or program coordination in a non-profit organization or research-intensive higher education institution environment. Must have experience drafting reports and analyzing data for research or grant submissions. (Screening Interview)

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Teachers | Must have bachelor’s degree in education, computer science or related field. Must have minimum 5 years related work experience with classroom teaching, coaching and mentoring experience. Must have teaching experience with computer science content and have pedagogy knowledge. (Screening Interview) 

► Cornell Tech (Roosevelt Island): Program Coordinators | Must have associate’s degree. Must have minimum 2 years of experience working with students and project management. Must have experience using spreadsheets, databases and information systems. (Screening Interview)
